Australian canola industry to reap the benefits

by Adrian Reginato

We are delighted with the introduction of Sustainable Grain Australia, which is designed to simplify the sustainability certification process for Australian canola destined for the EU biodiesel market.

The essence of the new process is that growers wishing to trade canola destined for Europe can now do so under one Central Office, using one common declaration form, while still retaining the flexibility to sell through their existing buyers.

We are proud to have been at the forefront of this initiative for the Australian grains industry. It’s been two years in the making and are delighted with the outcome. Growers will benefit from only having to make one declaration for up to six marketers. It will also significantly reduce the likelihood of growers being selected multiple times for audits.
