Local history, global presence
Cargill established a cotton business in Australia in 2000 when Ralli Brothers and Coney, a Cargill subsidiary, opened an office in Brisbane, Queensland. The Australian division of Cargill Cotton was rebranded under the Cargill name in 2002.
Cargill Cotton’s global head offices are in Memphis, United States and Liverpool, United Kingdom. Cargill Cotton in Liverpool handles all global purchases including Australia, with an exception for cotton originating from the United States and South America which is managed by Cargill Cotton in Memphis. In Australia, Cargill’s cotton business is run from it's Head Office in Melbourne, with Territory Managers based throughout the cotton growing regions on the East Coast.
