Cargill Brand Announcement

Brand Website Image

Cargill is making some changes to how we present our products and services to growers to be more consistent across our business and simplify our offering to customers.

Most of our businesses in Australia, including our oilseed crushing business which we have recently invested $100 million to upgrade, operate under the Cargill brand. As Cargill, we serve customers in Australia and throughout the world. All payments to growers are already made by Cargill.

We are now making plans to originate grains and oilseeds from growers under the Cargill brand meaning you will see some changes in the next few months. This includes replacing references to AWB with Cargill in several locations including:

  • Documentation, including the paperwork we send you, such as contracts, payment advices and invoices;
  • Communications, including any SMS, emails or product information. Our Cargill website will be the only website for all our communications. Our community sponsorships will be offered by Cargill.
  • Trading platforms, including online grain platforms where we bid for grains and oilseeds.
  • Customer service representatives will soon have a Cargill email address.

We will continue to use the AWB brand in some business applications. AWB has an important history in Australia as the leading exporter of Australian grains for decades before deregulation in 2008, and we know many growers have a strong connection to the brand. Our underlying business is unchanged, and we remain as committed as ever to providing a high level of customer service to our grower customers. Our storage and handling business will continue to operate as GrainFlow.

We will keep you updated with the changes as they progress. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Grower Service Centre on 1800 447 246 or growerservicecentre@awb.com.au
